Hour Lesson: $80
1/2 Hour Lesson: $40
Fees are payable at lessons or in advance.
Students are responsible for purchasing their own song material (tbd).
No accompanist is required for the lessons, but when recitals are scheduled, students must hire an accompanist,
Purpose of Voice Instruction
People love to sing and/or enjoy listening to beautiful singing. Students come to my studio to improve their singing.
Whether beginners or professional singers, voice students all have a great desire to sing more beautifully. Why? Because their singing voices represent who they are as people and how they feel about life. They want the quality of their singing to represent their ideal sound.
To improve, voice students must change what they are doing. When voice singers preconceive and expect a more lovely sound – a more beautiful singing tone will usher forth because their minds and bodies respond to meet the students' new expectations.
From the very first lesson, voice students begin to enhance the beauty of their vocal sounds and reveal the power of their voices to express that which is not expressible by words alone.
Beginning students apply their newly acquired vocal technique to folk songs. Intermediate students apply their singing technique to Italian, French, German, Spanish and English Art Songs.
Professional singers apply their new singing techniques to arias from operas and oratorios.
Those interested in learning songs from Broadway shows and jazz standards are provided that opportunity upon request.
